Congratulations on topping the charts, Jordan. How was Jerez overall?
It was really positive. As a team we were always fast and there or thereabouts. We started the test differently to the other side of the garage and gained a strong understanding of the direction we need to head. We did some quali-type runs and some longer runs with race-based set-ups, and found the pace to be very good in both scenarios. To set the overall fastest time feels like a nice pat on the back. I’m happy that the speed is there and I sense there’s still a bit more on the table to look forward to at the first race.
We’re still six weeks away from the season opener, in Barcelona on May 14. What are your plans between now and then?
Well I’ll be back in Spain in two weeks to see the team, debrief from the test and spend some time in the simulator, and I’ll be in it again the week before Barcelona and make final preparations with the team. In between I’ll mainly be focused on recharging my batteries so I can hit the ground running at the first race.
