Plusnet and British racing star, Jordan King, put small businesses in the fast lane

Plusnet launches nationwide competition for small businesses to win co-sponsorship of Jordan King’s car

“The champion of small British business”, broadband and telephone provider Plusnet, is offering Small to Medium sized Enterprises the chance to win co-sponsorship of Jordan King’s racing car.

The winner’s logo will be emblazoned on the front of British racing star Jordan King’s car, a place normally reserved for the world’s biggest brands, for the final two races of this year’s Grand Prix 2 in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

Whether it’s a mechanic, a butcher or a café, small businesses with 50 or fewer employees can enter Plusnet’s competition.

The winner will also receive a year’s free business fibre broadband and line rental from Plusnet, GP2 merchandise and an exclusive meet-and-greet with King.

Earlier this year, Plusnet announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with the GP2 and Manor F1 Development Driver. King, who served his apprenticeship in National, European and World Championship Karting, won the prestigious British Formula 3 Championship in 2013 before making his GP2 debut this year, starting with an impressive fourth place finish in Bahrain.

“We love supporting up-and-coming talent, both as the champion of small business and as an employer”, said Andy Baker, Plusnet CEO. “Jordan’s an exceptional talent and we want to give small business owners the opportunity to put their company in the fast lane with him. Smaller companies are the backbone of our economy and we think it’s important to give something back. This is a great way to put small businesses on the world stage and give them some well-deserved recognition alongside more established brands.”

Jordan King said: “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Plusnet to give small businesses the opportunity to co-sponsor my car at some of the world’s most exciting GP2 races. Like many small business owners, I know the incredible amount of hard work that goes into making a name for yourself and reaching the top of your game. This competition is a great way for us to give something back to the small companies who do us proud!”
