Back to back race weekends for King

Jordan King travels to Monza, Italy, this weekend for the ninth round of the FIA Formula 2 season as he takes on one of the world’s most infamous circuits.

Possibly the toughest back-to-back challenge in motorsport, Jordan King heads to the “Temple of Speed” this weekend looking to bounce back from his difficult weekend in Belgium. The 3.6-mile long track is by far the fastest on the F2 calendar with only a handful of corners, including the famous Parabolica, making it one of the most demanding tracks that Jordan will face this year.

After a non-point scoring trip to Spa-Francorchamps last week, King will be looking to have a similar weekend In Monza as he did last year where he picked up points in both of the weekend’s races – just missing out on a podium place in Sunday’s sprint race.

Currently 10th in the Drivers’ Standings, Jordan is looking to return to the points paying positions this weekend.

“Monza is a great track that is rich in history and a lot of fun to drive. The track itself is very fast with only a handful of corners but the corners are very technical – you have to be clean and precise. I’ve been driving here for a number of years now and I’m confident I can turn my recent form around to get back up the order to where I should be.”

Track action in Italy starts of Friday with free practice and qualifying at 10:55 (BST) and 15:20 respectively. The weekend’s feature race is on Saturday at 15:00, with Sunday’s sprint race getting underway at 09:15.
